Yes, lots of people come to Let’s Dance Jive! without a partner. We teach in such a way that every couple of minutes you change places .This speeds up the learning process and helps you to meet new people.


Casual or smart it’s up to you, as long as it’s comfortable and doesn’t restrict your movements. Be aware you will get hot - so bear that in mind.


No, but smooth soled shoes that enable you to turn and spin easily are best. Strapless and high heeled shoes should be avoided. Trainers should also be avoided as they grip the floor.


With music from the 50’s right up to today’s chart sounds, we hope we have something for everyone. By learning to modern jive you will be able to dance in night clubs, at parties or wherever music is playing.


Anyone over the age of 16 can come along and have a go.


Following the lessons, the lights go down and the music goes up. Freestyle time is where we can practise, dance, relax and socialise in the friendly atmosphere.
