Let’s Dance Jive! was born on March 2005 to bring Modern Jive – LeRoc to North Devon. A large dance hall, comfortable seating and a licensed bar our venue has all the attributes for creating that ‘Great Nite Out’.
We offer classes for absolute beginners, intermediates and freestyle dancing for everyone.
SO WHAT IS MODERN JIVE?
Let’s Dance Jive! teach LeRoc Modern Jive. An exciting stylish partner dance quite similar to rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of salsa. Danced at a slightly slower pace to almost any kind of music from the 50’s up to today’s chart sounds.
It’s easy to learn, looks good and is great fun – but be warned it’s ADDICTIVE!

Sue and Jack’s complimentary personalities are the reason that they are such a great teaching combination. They aim to deliver the moves in a friendly, light-hearted way to bring a balance of fun and learning to the class.
Born and married in Barnstaple they started dancing in their teens because Sue’s parents were competition champions and dance teachers. Having recently picked up dancing again they discovered LeRoc modern jive and became addicted!
Sue and Jack want everyone to feel happy and confident in learning LeRoc Modern Jive. It is not only about learning all the right moves. It’s about fun, friends and music. As they say "there are no right or wrong moves – just variations".
